What's Near By

Brown's Marina
rown's Marina is 5km east of Skycroft. If you need work on your boat, parts, fuel, or other essentials, Brown's Marina will be happy to help you out. LCBO is also located at Brown's.

Rideau Tours
f you are looking for a tour of the Canal, Rideau Tours is just the place for that. If you like to rent bikes, kayaks, or looking for a relaxing tour of the Rideau Canal.

Opinicon Resort
Fully restored this early 19th century resort is the place to go for a nice meal or to relax in their pub. Hosts craft shows and live entertainment among other things. A must see. 

Elgin Bowling Lanes
lgin Bowling lanes is a great little spot for 5 pin bowling located in Elgin. Stop in, have lunch, bowl a few games and have a great time. 

The Cove Inn

A great place for lunch or dinner. Live entertainment, great atmosphere, a great place to go when in Westport.

The Scheuermann Winery
ust outside of Westport on Bedford St but an easy walk, stop in for a tour and sample some wine. 

Local Golf

There are a few courses close by to Skycroft, several actually so if you love to golf, you are in the right area. 

Kingston Ontario
our the Kingston Penitentiary, Fort Henry, and the Historic First Capitol of Canada. 45 min drive from Skycroft, Kingston is a great place to visit. 


Grocery stores are located in Elgin, Westport, Glenburnie and Sydenham. All are 15-30 min drive. Larger chains are Kingston, and Smith Falls about 40 minutes. 
Westport has many boutiques and restaurants so a great place to visit. Rent a pontoon and it's about 2.5hrs to Westport by boat. Shop, have some lunch, stop off and cast a line on the way back. Tour of the canal is a must when you camp around here.
