Lake Map and Fishing Hot Spots

Opinicon Lake is located between Chaffeys and Davis Lock on the Historic Rideau Canal. North of Chaffeys you enter Indian Lake and to the south you enter Sand Lake.
Opinicon Lake itself is a gorgeous lake about 8.5km long with fantastic fishing for Bass and Pike. Many islands and beautiful bays.

Trail System Map

There's over 20 km. of well marked and cleared trails.
They offer trails through the backwoods with ponds, swamps, streams, caves and beautiful vistas that are loaded with all kinds of natural flora and fauna to explore.
PLEASE REMEMBER EACH GUEST SHOULD CARRY A MAP AT ALL TIMES. GUESTS HAVE BEEN LOST WITHIN THE SYSTEM BECAUSE OF NO MAP. IF YOU BECOME LOST, DON'T PANIC. JUST FOLLOW A TRAIL TO THE NEXT INTERSECTION AND FIND A TREE WITH A NUMBER ON IT. LOOK AT THE MAP FOR THAT NUMBER FOR A BERING WHERE YOU ARE.
The trail system is not owned by Skycroft but by several owners including private owners, Queens University Biological Station and other organizations. All the property is considered private so please do not venture off the trails. Studies by QUBS are done on a regular basis so in cooperation with their studies we ask all hikers to not interfere with any studies taking place and obey any temporary trail closures.
